Will you live in hobo jungles
The Great Depression was the time of the hobo. Dusty, unwashed men traveled the country. They wore signs that announced they’d work for food. They knocked on back doors, and begged for their supper. They traveled from town to town, looking for a break.
Will it come to this again? Most people think that The Great Depression can never happen again. That the governments have fixed the problem forever. Some economists, though, don’t believe that.
They think that there are current economic problems festering. That they are getting so bad that eventually they’ll sink us into another depression. This one, they believe, could be worse than The Great Depression. There will be more problems and the depression will last longer.
Will we have to live through The Great Depression II? Will you end up homeless, knocking on back doors, begging for food? Will you live in hobo jungles, crowded around a camp fire? Will you look back on this time period as your glory days?
You know, there were people back then who took the proper precautions. They prepared, and when everyone else was suffering and twisting in the wind, they still had food and shelter and security. They didn’t have to beg for food. They didn’t have to feel useless.
You should follow their examples. Don’t sit and wait for the depression to ruin your life. Do something about it now. You want to make sure you’ll have some kind of income so that you won’t have to resort to begging. That way you can also help your family and friends, if they need it.
After all, wouldn’t you rather have to deal with beggars, than end up being one? This is something you should really think about. If you don’t act now, it may be too late.
Don’t assume you’ll always have your job. Start building multiple streams of income, so that, if you lose your job, it’s not the end of the world.
